The Grundig S350 Portable Radio is a slick looking for military aesthetics.
One of the best things about the Grundig S350 is manual. I know, I know it's a manual, but so many sad little radios come with manuals that is a real joy to get a detailed manual written English coherently.
Controls on the Grundig S350 are contained and intuitive to use, but it's a shame that the buttons are not made of high-quality material. The adjustment control inparticular feels cheap and sloppy, and it can be difficult to achieve the precision you want while seeking elusive frequencies.
The Grundig S350 is a grand reception for FM, AM and shortwave frequencies, and he seems as good as you might expect from the radio in this class. It also comes stereo outputs, if you want to run audio through your hi-fi, and controls treble and bass very well.
The digital display on the portable radio is bright and easy to read, and it does not seem to drain a lot about battery life. The radio requires either AA or D (you can select the battery you want use with a toggle switch). It also comes with an AC adapter.
Do not get me wrong, it's a big radio – it weighs six pounds. However, if you're in the market for a table radio midrange size laptop, the Grundig S350 will be a good choice – assuming you do not mind the fight against the knob.

He also writes reviews of Nerf Guns. Yup. Nerf Guns.
